Where will you be tomorrow?

So just checking in with all y'all to ask, "Where will you be tomorrow?"

"Where will Lance and I be tomorrow?" you ask in return.

Well, we'll be at school and work respectfully of course...only to return home to our humdrum Thursday night routine of homework and progress notes....but wait! Thursday is no humdrum day! We will forego the routine, trade in our comfy houseslippers, and be ROCKIN IT OUT in Indy at the Tobymac concert!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!

FYI...We three Wrights may not have much voice left come Friday, but it will all be worth it.

Sending out a "Holla" to our momma who hooked us up with sweet seats for our bdays.
Thanks MOM. We love you.

And for all you Tobymac wannabe fans....check this out www.tobymac.com

Quotable

Yesterday's quote from me to Jonelly in discussing my limited knowledge of music of the secular variety....She asked if I knew Imagine to which I replied...
"Yes...My bubble has some tiny holes in it."

Two days ago, I asked Lance if he was having an enchilada. (Note: I was on a cooking spree earlier and made red and white sauced chicken and beef enchiladas so the freezer is stocked over here.) He replied, "No, I'm having 2 enchiladas! If it's good enough to have one, it's certainly good enough to have 2!!!" There wasn't much said after that as his mouth was full...

Never a Dull Day.... =)

Rarely can I say that I don't learn something new on a daily basis. Today was no exception! Here are a few recent musings.
Did you know....
1. you can go from homeless and living in a shelter to homeless and not in a shelter in less than 5 hours?
2. the police really don't like it when you lie to them and seriously call you out on it in their very official "we have special training in spotting liars" kindda way? Scary!
3. some people can make excuses until it gives everyone else a headache?
4. if you catch someone skipping school they may respond with an emphatic tantrum in front of others when you return them?
5. some systems of agencies are slower than the old Heinz keptchup commercials advertised?
6. humor is a great stress reliever to handling obstinately quiet teenage rebels?
7. emails are a huge blessing when trying to communicate to several people official details of events in a prompt manner?
8. some people are really being blessed by churches in our community?
9. the bedroom is not really warmer if you lie in bed an extra 10 minutes?
10. you can shovel snow and not be able to walk down your sidewalk 30 minutes later?
11. you can make burritos on the quesadilla maker and they taste great!
12. Lance and I occasionally pray the exact opposite? He wants snow tomorrow and I don't. He doesn't want school tomorrow and I don't want to miss work and not see a family officially reunited permanently.
13. sign in logs make great accountability and some people's jobs easier?
14. I will probably learn just as much and more at my job tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that as I did today?!

AZ opry

So whenever the AZ folks say we're going here or there, I'm always up for it cuz I know it will be a good time. Saturday's fun at the Arizona Opry was no exception. This was a great place tucked south east of Phoenix and full of talent! From classical arrangements to Johnny Cash to 16 instruments played by one man in one song to 50's do-wap the musical feast was delicious to the ear. I invite you to check it out.....www.azopry.com.

Nuf said....No I wasn't a resident but I did visit and it cracked me up (pun intended)

Homeward bound.

Letter people, Letter mountains?

I'm not sure what it is about Arizonans that they feel the need to letter their mountains. And when I say "Letter" I mean big, bold LETTERS! So driving toward Phoenix, there was "A" mountain. I've been up "A" mountain and it is quick pleasant. Then we came across "C" mountain. I, of course, contemplated the whereabouts of "B" mountain. Where was it? Are they biased against the "B"'s of the world? Surprisingly enough, we also encountered "F" mountain? Again, what about "D" and "E"? I suppose this will continue to be a mystery unless I make it my mission to visit Arizona enough time to discover the other letters of the alphabet plastered on the sides of cliffs acorss the desert. Oh well, I'm sure heaven will have a seminar on mountain letters and all the mysteries of life will be solved. =)

Missing Mountains!!!

Snow on the palms

Mountains on the return

Snow-capped peaks
Panoramic view

After thinking winter weather warnings in AZ are silly, I have changed my mind. Today was a real treat. I got up early and looked out to see.....nothing. Nothing you say to yourself? Yes. NOTHING....No Mountains! AZ mom said she needed to call 911 b/c her mountains were missing. Actually they were shrouded in fog until later in the day. And it began to rain. Then snow. Then the fog lifted to reveal snow-capped peaks all around. We worked on painting projects inside and then drove up to the snow line. Hope you like the pictures! They just prove that you can have snow in Arizona. :)

AZ Pics Day 6

Today we went to Plano Blanco Lake. It was a great experience although I thought I was about to witness 4 people being blown away by the wind several times. The hike was supposed to be an easy one. It wasn't! After 3 hours, we finally made it around and without major injury. Hope you enjoy the pic!
Loved the cattails! Reminded me of being a kid and living by a lake.

I don't know how many times we scared ducks out from their hiding places.

The red rocks were a perfect backdrop to the lush green vegetation.

Parts of the lake reminded me of Louisiana bayous.
